We collect only what is necessary to operate Curb Check. This includes:

• Email address — when you sign up for feature updates or contact us through the contact form
• Name and message — only when you submit the contact form
• Vehicle inspection data — stored locally in your browser only; we do not transmit or store your inspection results on our servers
• Usage data — basic analytics such as page visits, collected anonymously by Netlify's hosting infrastructure

We do not collect payment information. All payments are processed securely by Stripe and are never seen or stored by us.

How We Use Your Information

• To send you feature update emails if you opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time
• To respond to questions or support requests you send via the contact form
• To improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

Curb Check uses the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Netlify — website hosting and form handling
• Formspree — email form submission processing
• Stripe — payment processing
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — powers AI analysis features; questions you submit are sent to Anthropic's API
• NHTSA — VIN decode and recall lookup (U.S. government database, no personal data shared)
• Google Fonts — font loading

Cookies & Local Storage

Curb Check uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to remember your inspection access level and session state. This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking of any kind.

Your Rights

You have the right to request deletion of any personal information we hold about you (such as your email address). To do so, contact us at hello@curbcheck.app and we will remove your data within 30 days.

If you signed up for feature updates, you can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

Children's Privacy

Curb Check is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Curb Check after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
